What’s Happening

Lent

The Season of Lent is around the corner (starts Feb. 17 on Ash Wednesday). The Worship Ministry Team would like to invite everyone from NHRC to participate in abstaining from something during this season. Last year, as part of our sermon series, we abstained from something new each week in a cumulative fashion. The WMT would like to encourage everyone to do so again, so that we can focus ourselves all the more on Jesus during this important season. Start thinking now about the six different things you will choose to “give up” each week. Any questions – see a WMT member.

Crib Ministry

We have begun crib ministries for Jen DeWitt, Sarah Mast, Cassie Padding and Heather Van Leeuwen. Gifts of basic baby items or gift cards may be brought to the cribs by the mailboxes through Mar. 14. Jen is due Apr. 22 and is expecting a girl (no baby registry). Sarah is due Apr. 17, and is unsure if she’s having a boy or girl (no baby registry). Cassie Padding is due Apr. 12 and is expecting a boy (registered at Target). Heather is due Mar. 24 and is unsure if she’s having a boy or girl (registered at Target for basic baby items).

Recycle

NHRC is going GREEN! We have marked bins around church for the recycling of paper (you know those bulletins that have been collecting in your bible for months) and plastic (water bottles and such). We can recycle paper and plastic only please – no styrofoam cups.

Church Auction

We will be having an all church auction on May 8. Begin thinking about donations you may have for the auction.

RCA Summer Camp

Brochures for 2010 Summer Camp at Camp Geneva and Cran Hill Ranch are available on the table just beyond the mailboxes, along with NHRC vouchers.
