SO, YOU WANT ALL THE ANSWERS, HUH?
Below you’ll find a list of questions and answers that we think you may be wondering as you consider visiting or continuing to visit North Holland Reformed Church.
Hopefully you’ll find the answers to your questions below. If not, please call us at 616.399.1578 or email us at office@northholland.org.
Should I dress in a suit and tie or do you have more casual attire?
You definitely don’t need a tux to come to NHRC. Many people wear casual Sunday attire, but you can wear what you’re comfortable with. We’ve included some pictures to give you an idea.
What kind of music can I expect to hear during worship?
Services alternate between traditional hymns and contemporary worship songs. There is only one morning service, so we’ll trade off between the two styles from week to week.
Is there coffee available?
We have a coffee and fellowship time after the service when you’ll be able to grab some cookies, coffee and other beverages. This is a great time to meet members of the church as well as other visitors in an informal time of fellowship.
I have small children. What is available for them?
There is nursery available for infants and toddlers during the worship service. During the school year, children 3 years old through 4th grade often sit upstairs for part of the service and are dismissed during the service; following the service, Sunday school classes are available for everyone from 5th graders to adults. We also invite you to visit the Youth page of our website to learn more about other opportunities for kids and teens.
Why don’t you have services every Sunday evening?
North Holland Reformed Church has a thriving Small Group program. On the Sunday evenings when no formal church service is scheduled, small groups gather for fellowship, prayer, and Bible study. Contact the office (616.399.1578 or office@northholland.org) if you’d like to know how to become a part of a small group.
May I take communion if I’m not a member?
You are not required to be a member of NHRC in order to take part in communion. All those who know and love Jesus Christ, have accepted him as their Savior and seek each day to make him Lord and director of theirs lives are welcome to take communion with the North Holland community of believers.
I’d like to visit your church, but I don’t have transportation…
We’d love to have you here! Please call the office (616.399.1578) during normal business hours so that we can do our best to arrange for someone to come and pick you up.
